Duncan, Duncan, Duncan

Duncan went home from hockey night with a little something special. He is now a true hockey player. A fat lip and a broken tooth.

This was taken last night so the swelling has had a couple days to go down. We will see what the Dentist has to say about this one.

I took a walk

I went out and took a few photos with my new camera the other day during my lunch break. This is what I came up with. Nothing special, just some random photos.

Forest Lawn

This past Saturday I got the chance to go with a group of people to the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA. At first I was a little confused as to why we would go visit a cemetary but the actual thing we went for was amazing. Jan Styka, a Polish artist, spent 33 years of his life painting a masterpiece of the crucifixion of Jesus. It is 195' long and 45' tall. It's an amazing piece of art. If you ever get the chance to go see it, do. They don't allow photography in the building where the art is showcased so I don't have any photos of it myself but you can see some of it on Forest Lawn's website.

I did take a few photos outside in the dreary weather we are having right now and a couple in the museum.

This first photo is of the building where the painting is housed.

Stephanie and I overlooking Glendale.

And this is Henry. The artist is unknown but it was carved around 200 A.D.

Painting with light

So after being inspired by John Michael Cooper of alt-f, I decided to do a little painting with light last night. I didn't have anything too interesting to photograph so my tv will have to do. Let me know what you think.

Crystal Cathedral Wedding

This past weekend I had the privilege of assisting Natan Vigna of Discover New Views with a wedding at the Crystal Cathedral. I had assisted Natan with the grooms sisters wedding a few months ago so we got to see most all of the same guests.

The Crystal Cathedral runs quite a business so they don't give you a lot of time to set up and take down. Taking the group shots after the ceremony was limited to about 15 minutes. It was a fun experience to help with a wedding in such a well known church.

Congratulations Raphael and Raquel, may God bless you in your marriage.

Detail Shots

Reflections

Here is a reflection shot at the Crystal Cathedral. Before it started getting dark, we had very beautiful skies and some really neat reflections in the glass of the Cathedral.

22 Degrees

This past Sabbath a group of us headed up to Forest Falls, CA to play in the snow with the kids. It's amazing that a place so close can be so much colder. We watched the temperature drop as we drove from Redlands. It's only 15 miles but it's quite different. The kids played for a few minutes but none of us were quite prepared for that temperature so we didn't play all that long. Here are a couple photos from the day.

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Snow in SoCal

Woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow on the ground. It should not last too long but it's fun to see. Here are a few photos I took before I left for work.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Happy Holidays

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM ALL OF US
(Me, Stephanie, Isabella, Duncan, Christina, Mom-in-Law, Dad-in-Law)

Photos for her husband

A few weeks ago I was able to take some photos of Jenn for a Christmas present for her husband. He finally got them so now I am able to show you. We did them all here in the Redlands/Loma Linda area. Redlands definitely has some really neat old buildings to be used as great backdrops. Unfortunately I don't get to utilize them enough.

Thanks for the opportunity Jenn.
